About Ben Haack

A strong reminder of why people should focus on their ability and not their disability, Ben Haack’s story is inspirational to say the least. His aim is to make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities across Australia and the world.

Since joining Special Olympics over 20 years ago, Ben has competed both at national and international levels in cricket and football, and as an Athlete Leader. He is currently a Director on the Special Olympics Australia Board as the Athlete Representative. He is also a Director of the Special Olympics International (SOI) Board.

In a society that still has problems with exclusion, Ben shares his powerful story about living in a unified, inclusive way, hoping to remind people of the power of empathy.
