About Ben Popham OAM

Ben Popham is a 21 year old Paralympic swimmer. He won 2 golds and 1 silver medal at the recent Paralympic Games in Tokyo.

Ben made his Australian debut in 2018, picking up 2 gold medals at the Para Pan Pacific Games and then Swimming Australia’s AIS Discovery of the Year award. In 2019, Ben collected a silver medal and 2 bronze at the Para World Swimming Championships in London.

Ben was also selected as the ‘Little Telethon Star’ in 2011, playing a leading part in Western Australia’s annual Telethon fundraiser, which is the World’s largest per capita Telethon fundraiser.

In 2022, Ben Popham was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia OAM for service to sport as a Gold medallist at the Tokyo Paralympic Games 2020.
