About Chris Blowes

Chris Blowes is a shark attack survivor with an inspirational story you will want to hear.

In 2015, Chris was surfing when he was attacked by a Great White Shark. The shark took his left leg, and he suffered serious lacerations to his flank. Chris should have died, but he didn’t.

Left as an above-knee amputee, Chris wasn’t going to let his newfound disability stop him from doing the things he loved, including surfing. Chris shares how he overcame fear and adversity to return to work on the tools but also to the waves as a para surf champion.

Chris speaks about how returning to work and surfing after trauma not only gave him purpose but also allowed him to rediscover joy and happiness in the things he is truly passionate about.
