About Glen Sharkey

Glen Sharkey has 30 years’ experience in training and developing people and is the 2021 PSANZ Speaker of the Year as well as a multi award-winning expert in Courageous Conversations and Workplace People Leadership. He is a past president of The Professional Speakers Association of New Zealand and is the author of seven books, including, The Art of Persuasive Influence and Navigating Courageous Conversations . Glen is a Westpac Business Awards judge and one of only 10 Certified Speaking Professionals in New Zealand.

Regardless of these aforementioned accolades, he still believes his greatest achievement are being happily married for 30yrs and having raised three wonderful adult children.

But don’t be fooled by all that, “Sharkey” was fired from every job he worked at until his mid-twenties, and as a “semi-reformed” West Aucklander he has had to work tirelessly at shifting from a fixed to a growth mindset which he’s still working on (maybe that’s why he’s the main case study for his wife’s PhD on marriage!).
