Grant ‘Scooter’ Patterson, is a true blue Aussie Paralympic legend from far North Queensland.

Having shot to fame at the 2021 Tokyo Paralympics, Scooter’s wicked sense of humour and his incredible achievements in the pool have created a platform for him to share his journey with the world.

Grant is well known for his ‘main form of ground transport’, his scooter. Now known as ‘Scooter Patterson’ Grant has been featured across television networks and print media as ‘an Aussie Paralympic Legend’ after winning two medals at the Tokyo Paralympic Games in 2022.

His dream of winning a Paralympic medal was captured in front of Australian Television audiences. Grant went on to win 2 medals at the Games which made him a household name across Australia, showcasing a fun loving QLD larrikin who, against all the odds, achieved his swimming dreams at an international sporting level.

This has solidified Grant as one of the top 5 Paralympians in Australia. He has captured the hearts of sports fans, has received the key to the city of Cairns (recognised as a local legend).
