[Visiting Dates: Approx. 15-27 October 2024] Stephen McGown was abducted by Al Qaeda in North Africa in 2011 while motorcycling from London to South Africa.
Held for 5 years and 8 months, he became the longest-held surviving Al Qaeda hostage.
Separated from his wife, family, and friends, Stephen chose not just to survive but to thrive, aiming to return home stronger.
His experience underscores the importance of self-awareness and ownership.
Despite having no survival skills, Stephen's journey was one of self-taught resilience and growth, turning an unimaginable ordeal into a testament to the human spirit.
Travel and accommodation are quoted separately at cost for events outside South Africa. Virtual sessions are usually priced below the band above.
