About Theo Venter

Imagine the sheer power of 22,000 volts of electricity. Now imagine surviving an electrical shock from it. Medical professionals would tell you it’s impossible, yet somehow Theo Venter managed to live through it. In fact, he is the only person known to do so.

Since the accident, Theo Venter has faced a true fight of survival and his recovery hasn’t been an easy one. Not only has it included countless operations, he’s also had to tackle and beat depression as well as overcome suicidal thoughts. After years painstaking of rehabilitation, Theo was eventually able to relearn everyday tasks. Simple things which the rest of us take for granted.

He has become a determined advocate for workplace safety due in thanks to his courage, determination and brutal honesty. Theo Venter’s presentation is a plea for all workers in high-risk and low-risk areas to follow critical workplace procedures and adhere to personal protective equipment requirements whilst carrying out daily work tasks.
